Presence of Nothing

Got a mail from one of the Landmarkians and wanted to share with all..:)

"Hi below contains some sharing about one of the landmark graduates telling about nothing. Read it completely. Its amazing how nothing can be created.

I want to talk about this again, because the minute I achieve a
clearing called nothing, life is created a new, new possibilities
open up, real magic becomes possible, so I must continue writing,
discussing nothing to reaffirm it in my life.

It really makes no sense, it doesn't even have any meaning, it's
beyond reason of everything and anything we know to be true to say
that the secret to life is getting to nothing.

It occurs to us that life is just what it is, so we assume, we make
life into our own meaning, we create our own reasons, we live in our
own past and future because we think that what is, is nothing
special. But real life is magic, what is, is beyond our imagination,
and because we made it into our reasons, our meanings, life became
something else and we lose the magic in those moments.

Magic, miracles, possibility only become possible when we create a
clearing called nothing. A blank space must be achieved again and
again to have everything and anything become possible in your life
anew. And its always transformed from the way it was, its better
then it was every time, this new possibility from the clearing
called nothing.

See enlightenment is not a destinations, magic can only become
possible by the clearing you create once you get to nothing, magic
can't be created from your meanings, reasons, past or future. Magic
is created with words that you declare from a completely new space
in the moment of now. You must attempt to reach the space of
nothing, then declare with your magical words your possibility, and
finally share this new possibility with everyone you can. This will
recreate your life. Be nothing, then Be a new possibility, then
share this new possibility, then do this new possibility, then you
will have every possibility you desire for you life. Be – Do – Have
in that order and the magic will appear in your life.

In the old way of thinking, you went about doing things, living in
your past or future to be something, to have what you want, but this
way isn't the path. Look deep inside your self, you will discover
the truth in what I am saying, its an ongoing process to get to
nothing, in fact its not even possible to be in nothing for very
long, the minute you reach it, you empty your cup of life, life
fills it again. When you shut down your thoughts in meditation,
thoughts come rushing back in, but if you are stuck with the past
problems and beliefs/thoughts of your life, these do not serve you,
you are putting your past or future into your present possibility,
thus possibility can not be created, and we wonder why, so we must
constantly reaffirm nothing to have everything and anything!"

Wow...what an experience!!

A post in the Sodhi Fan Club community on Orkut and some word around to meet on a weekend. The agenda of the event was fun and celebration.
So we all gathered one by one on Mar 17 2007 at Barista around 3pm.
We met landmarkians we have met earlier or never met. We shared laughter and breakthroughs with friends and strangers. Returned back as if returning from a wonderful movie after a long time. Feeling of love and high spirits...:)

This is how I would summarize my experience of the landmark meeting!!!

Looking Good

Landmark has introduced me to the distinction "Looking Good". The awarenes of this "Looking Good" helps us drop all our fears and inhibtions. Once we stop living lives where we are "Looking Good" we live a more powerful life..

Whats "Looking Good" ? :-)

Its about being constrained in anything we do or say because we want others to think we are Good. Doesnt this stop our originality and make us inauthentic people? It does..!! Very much!!

Stops us from getting into relationships, stops us from being ourselves, stops us from doing the job we want to....stops us from any growth..

Bcos "looking good" is just a mask of goodness and not the real "Me" doesnt help us go any where, just makes us hollow!!

Acknowledging oneself

In SELP we had this exercise of acknowledging onself & for most of us the distinctions lapse along with the course.

Yesterday when I met my friend Tim for a large cup of black tea, our favourite when we meet for these talks on spirituality, self growth etc. :-)

Was discussing about recent incidents in our lives. Tim applauded me on my efforts in solving one of my personal problems. The reason to commend was also on the fact that there were no residual feelings of hatred or underrating onself or anyone else but instead a feeling of confidence and great spirits.

I realised then I really had done a nice job :-) and acknowledged myself. Really felt exhilarted and understood the importance of acknowledgement in the SELP course!

SELP Project - Secondary Leaders

Last year we formed a group and started on the project of serving the old at an old age home. There were lot of hiccups but we did do some activities and when it looked the project is gonna pick up real good it all just stopped. There is silence from so many months.

I had to travel from my earlier job for a client meeting to Pune. Then had a personal visit to my in-laws at Delhi. Back to Bangalore, changed my job and traveled for a month to Sydney. This was enough to bring a hiatus and we just closed shop.

Deepak keeps calling me thinking that we would meet up and restart the activities. On Saturday Sid came home and he was like I am feeling so guilty about not going.

I was thinking what went wrong and how we can avoid it in future. If u r a landmarkian u would know what went wrong. We didnt have secondary leaders..so when i wasnt around everything stopped....a big full stop.

So now we plan to meet up and revive actvities and this time with a good rotation plan and passionate leaders as part of the group

Back in Action!!

Changed my job. Shifted to my own flat and then travel for work. So suddenly Landmark and its activities looked distant.

Now I am back and ready to play the game :-)

Without Integrity nothing works!!

CS, my friend from Landmark(...we completed the "curriculum of living" together) went for this session in Bangalore "Without Integrity nothing works!!"

Since I am in Sydney I missed this session, anyway CS helped me understand some distinctions I would have missed:

• Integrity is not to just to honour your words but always to keep the empowering conversation for your possibility to be alive at all cost at all circumtrances.
• To be in integrity is to be whole and complete in EVERY area of life 100%. I am someone for whom only 100% of integrity exists there is nothing called 99% integrity and that who i am is "without integrity nothing works"
• When you experience loss of power in any area even before checking your inauthenticity check you INTEGRITY first !!
• Also get present to that there is no use of knowing. Its only being that is existential, knowing is fantasy

Trained Goodness | Natural Greatness - Part 1

I really loved reading this distinction Trained Goodness Natural Greatness. How important its for us to be Natural. I always remember Dad told me that I need to make my own decisions. I always had this inner strength to believe in a guiding conscience within me. When I read this article it lets me enjoy being Natural and explore the world for Greatness around within me and in others.

Positionary | Visionary

Positionary Visionary is similar to the distinction Position Stand. What I get of this distinction strongly is how we make others wrong when we are in a Positionary way of being. Our position is validated only by invalidating others. Visionary on the other hand is positive and powerful. They truly stand for others.

Reminds me of the Art of Living course where we were asked what we owned responsiblity of and all of us mentioned family, work etc. We were not expecting this answer that our responsiblity lies for everything in this world. Amazing results happened after that. People shared experiences. A group of young boys in the course actually removed a tree stump from the road that was dangerous expecially during nights.

My SELP Coach Gerard

Words would always be inadequate the way my SELP Coach Gerard has been. He has made a great shift in what I was being.

I can never forget these words which put me in action "Don't be a Think Tank, lift your butt & Take Action"

Our real values

Reading this article was a real shocker. Made me realize how we think we follow certain values but actually they are just there in our thoughts and not in our existence.

Goodness|Greatness

This reminds me of the distinction "looking good". For us its more important that we look good for the world around us rather than be really good from within. And whoever and whatever we are, our upbringing, beliefs, fears and ethics blur the truth.
